Our VOW to End Child Marriage

Creating a better world together

VOW for Girls is a global movement and non-profit organization with the mission to end the international child marriage crisis.

The fact is, 1 in 5 girls in the world is married as a child. Oftentimes, poverty or bleak financial outlook force families to marry off their young daughters to put food on the table. If the current trends on child marriage continue, 120 million more girls will be married in childhood by 2030.

100% of funds raised by VOW go directly to effective local organizations that advance girls’ rights by providing them with education, job training, and vital life skills.

Education and job training allow these girls to earn their own money, potentially become financially independent, and avoid the faith of being “sold” as a child bride to support their families. It gives them a chance of owning their futures.

Paulina believes that love should be a choice, not a financial decision, and we are committed to the cause of ending child marriage with VOW. As part of our commitment, we donate $181 on behalf of every new wedding couple we bring on as clients at Paulina Yeh Events. This is enough to cover all of one girls’ costs to attend school for a year, including everything from school fees to supplies and transportation.

Other brands and companies that have also made this VOW to end child marriage include Crate & Barrel, eBay, Viktor & Rolf, and The Peninsula Hotels. By raising funds and awareness, together, we can end child marriage in our lifetime.

“Every girl should be able to choose love on her own terms. VOW for Girls was inspired by love and, working together, we can create a world in which no child is ever a bride."
